Struggle Sessions at Starbucks HQ

Reblogged from Aryan Skynet.

H/t to Spandrell, Starbucks founder Howard Schultz conducted some struggle sessions for his HQ employees.

It’s the usual suspects, saying the usual things. The one speaker who is not black, fat, or gay, a normal looking white woman, timidly suggests we should try to understand police officers too, with many qualifications of course. I wonder how much longer she has a job for.

About thrasymachus33308

I like fast cars, fast women and southern-fried rock. I have an ongoing beef with George Orwell. I take my name from a character in Plato's "Republic" who was exasperated with the kind of turgid BS that passed for deep thought and political discourse in that time and place, just as I am today. The character, whose name means "fierce fighter" was based on a real person but nobody knows for sure what his actual political beliefs were. I take my pseudonym from a character in an Adam Sandler song who was a obnoxious jerk who pissed off everybody.

Here’s the really disgusting lie at the heart of America’s racial discourse. Lower, working, and even middle-class whites catch far more hell from blacks than bourgeois blacks like Holder, Gates, or Obama have ever, or will ever, catch from whites. Christ, most whites behave in a very fawning and ingratiating manner toward the blacks they encounter in politics and academia, which leads to the neuroses of the black bourgeoisie (http://www.amazon.com/Rage-Privileged-Class-Middle-Class-America/dp/0060925949/ref=sr_1_sc_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1426783607&sr=1-1-spell&keywords=rage+of+the+priveleged+class).

The Obamas and Holders and Gates’ are pissed because they’re told that, as African-Americans, they must struggle against racism, and because their lives are inordinately easy, they feel insecure and either have to invent acts of chimerical racism (structural/institutional racism fits the bill) or they have to precipitate incidents and bait/goad whites into confrontations (see: Skip Gates) just to get that coveted status of victim.

Read the comments on any unmoderated forum on race. Christ AOL’s comment section is filled with more white anger than Amren’s at this point. Whites will spout the party line B.S. to keep a job or to gain power, but no one beyond the undergrad level (except for a handful of insane/hermetic academics) believes any of this bullshit anymore. I don’t even think black people believe it; they just know it benefits them.

Ha. “Struggle sessions.” I love corporate-speak. They’d explode if even the mildest WN spoke up at such a meeting.

    “Struggle sessions” sounds cultic.
