The Implicit Whiteness Series- #1, Introduction

I can’t spend all my time blogging, and of the time I spend blogging I can’t spend it all arguing with Hunter Wallace. (I’ll get back to that eventually.) So I’m going to try a few different things.

I want to do something that will really piss blacks off, something they really hate- ignore them. I’m going to have All-White Week at Deconstructing Leftism, were I talk only about the non-racial aspects of leftism, liberalism, and socialism.

But first I want to talk about implicit whiteness- things that are white, but not explicitly so. Kevin McDonald seems to have invented the term, but I’m too lazy to look it up and too broke to buy his books. But the concept is intuitively obvious once it’s pointed out.

The important thing is there are a variety of different kinds of implicit whiteness, and understanding them helps understand the power dynamics between different white groups. Here is my breakdown-

-Elite, or “SWPL”, whiteness. Implicit whiteness is generally though of as implicitly bad- the whole satiric sting of “Stuff White People Like” comes from the use of the word white. “Stuff Wannabe Yuppies Who Went to Pretentious Schools Like” wouldn’t be funny at all. Still this is good whiteness. Yes, some whiteness- elite whiteness- is good, although none dare call it whiteness except Christian Lander.

-Ethnic pride or whiteness of ethic groups that don’t threaten the system. This includes Scandinavian, Irish, and Jewish whiteness. This ranges from neutral to good.

-Whiteness that is not a threat to the system, but does not explicitly support it. This includes suburban whiteness and Italian ethnic whiteness. White blue-collar whiteness in general. This whiteness isn’t exactly negative, but it is somewhat suspicious.

-Rural working-class whiteness, usually thought of as “Southernness”, but we know that country is country-wide. I specifically said working-class because elite rural whiteness- even elite Southern rural whiteness- is regarded as good, but it’s an insignificant part of implicit whiteness. This kind of whiteness, while it is not explicity or even implicity racist, is bad and condemned by the elite. People who are actually familiar with it appreciate it for what it is, a feeling of cultural and ethnic pride, but it flirts with independence from the system, and is thus unacceptable.

-Explicit whiteness. Any open expression of racial pride or superiority by whites. This ranges from wearing a Nazi uniform to the sober evaluation of reams of statistics and scientific evidence. Doesn’t matter, explicit whiteness is treated as evil, and will result in serious social and legal sanctions. A few people get away with it. Jared Taylor and Steve Sailer make a living from it, so they can’t be fired. You can operate a white nationalist group and collect enough dues from members to live on, but you will probably be arrested and destroyed under some pretext eventually. Selling books, pamphlets, and Nazi memorabilia is a bit safer. Some people HBD blog under their real names, but that is extremely risky. Explicit whiteness deserves its own discussion, but I wanted to mention it here.

Stand by for “SWPL = SBPDL- Elite Implicit Whiteness- Status Seeking and Self-Segregation”.

About thrasymachus33308

I like fast cars, fast women and southern-fried rock. I have an ongoing beef with George Orwell. I take my name from a character in Plato's "Republic" who was exasperated with the kind of turgid BS that passed for deep thought and political discourse in that time and place, just as I am today. The character, whose name means "fierce fighter" was based on a real person but nobody knows for sure what his actual political beliefs were. I take my pseudonym from a character in an Adam Sandler song who was a obnoxious jerk who pissed off everybody.
