So many things, apparently far apart and running in different directions, and yes so closely connected……..
Hunter Wallace is a guy I’m not very familiar with, but is a sort of paleoconservative white nationalist guy. He has announced his retirement, as he is sick of the whole thing-
Basically that the white nationalist movement is counterproductive.
Meanwhile a small boy is throwing fits in Orlando
Danny Westneat, ruefully weighing in on a school system corruption scandal in Seattle, admits the angry parents at the school board meetings were right-
Wallace realizes the racial angle is counterproductive, and only attracts socially marginal people. The problem is leftism, which brings us to our totally ungovernable schools. The boy could probably benefit from some physical discipline, or failing that expulsion from school. But the leftists promise freedom from abuse, and appropriate education for all, so neither is legally possible under federal law.
The logical answer is to attack leftist policies at the source for the foolish impracticality they are. The doctrine of disparate impact must be disallowed- “The fact that more black children are expelled is not racist and does not change the facts.”
But the parents going to the school board meetings were just ignored. Maybe they could have gotten elected to the school board, but they most likely would have been told, “Yes Minister” style, they had no authority over the program in question, and likely that it was required by federal law. It’s unlikely that even with all the attention, perhaps even arrests and convictions, the program will actually be disbanded.
It all comes down to federal law. The system doesn’t base its power on passing out cash, as many conservatives believe, but on compelling people to do things- including passing out cash. Electoral change has but a small influence on this. At the end of the day the “constitutional law” of the system gives federal judges- who are either liberals or stare decisis moderates- the power to control almost everything.
