Meet one of the Masters of the Universe, one of the masters of your universe. This guy can manage a $600 million hedge fund but he can’t manage a girlfriend.
He went to Wharton and has worked at various financial positions. From the looks of him he hasn’t spent much time in the gym, at parties or bars, in the military or other things the common people do. I suppose he is a bright individual, but how can someone with such a basic lack of ability to deal with his personal life be entrusted with so much power? It is claimed there is no affirmative action for minorities, but I think his ethnicity was probably a plus in getting into Wharton, a source of a lot of high-level financial people.
Had he just spent a lot of money on the girl, well, that would have been OK. He is a rich man and can probably afford it. Had he felt played or used, well, that would have been OK too. Sometimes you take a girl to a nice restaurant and don’t hear from her again. But he had to sue her, which only makes him look like a fool and lays out the whole somewhat tawdry story. Manhattan is crawling with women looking for rich guys to buy them nice stuff. Discerning rich men know that they can’t for social, business and family reasons have relationships with women who aren’t from similar educational and class backgrounds. They might have a fling with such a girl, and buy her a few gifts, but that is as far as it would go.
I think the system selects such people to do its bidding because they can be counted on to do what they are told. Bright boys not of the nation who don’t have much else going for them need the money and the position. They will feel their sense of inferiority and be all the hungrier for it. As we saw in “The Social Network” Mark Zuckerberg was able to get into a crappy fraternity but not the place were the really cool guys were, the dining clubs.
But frankly, the people running things should be a little more on the ball than this. I don’t think we have all that much to fear from people who don’t know enough not to give a girl their American Express.
A jewess rolls a desi! Priceless!
Ha. I thought much the same thing MW.
There’s nothing impressive about MIT, Wharton or Yale. Go on youtube and find their lectures. I have taken many classes from them. Their students are just the same as the students from any other uni. They rely upon the power of reputation to intimidate.
LBF would have the juice on the French poodle crowd; you should ask him about them. The rich can be made and unmade very easily by changing rules and regulations. The rich are another servent class. I believe that only a very small percentage of the very rich really know what happening. Men like Soros.
They said if you invested $60,000 with Soros when he got his start, you would now have $20 million.
I have a friend who got his BS at UC Riverside and his PhD (in chemistry) at Princeton. He told me that he did not think the Ivy League students were any more intelligent than those in his science and engineering classes at UC Riverside.
One of the benefits of an Ivy League education is that you are purchasing an effective Rolodex.
He shouldn’t be in this country, that’s what’s really important.
What Joe said….
“Now dating mixed-martial-arts hunk Max McGarr”
lol.
The guy looks like Bryan Caplan. A uber-focused Aspie whose whole brain is tuned to the task of his job. Specialization does that to you.
There are a lot of these guys on Wall Street. My “mentor” was one of them. I couldn’t think of more effective negative advertising for that lifestyle.
Why’s he suing her? By the looks of him, he obviously got the better end of the deal. He is beyond lucky that this life ever afforded him the chance to be with a girl like that. He probably should give her more money to make her whole.
